MODUL 2

Shoulders : Strength & Expansion

This module focuses on assisting poses related to the shoulders, including backbends, inversions, and arm balances. Learn how to help students unlock strength and freedom in their shoulders while ensuring structural integrity and balance.

1. Daily Structure

• Morning: 

Pranayama, yoga, and ceremony, including songs for a vibrant, supportive atmosphere.

• Afternoon Breakdown: 

• 1st hour: Warm-up poses to activate the shoulders and spine.

• 2nd hour: Standing poses and weight-bearing positions that challenge shoulder stability.

• 3rd hour: Inversions, backbends, and arm balances to expand range and refine support.

2. Key Learning Area

• Mastering hands-on assists for shoulder-opening poses such as backbends, twists, and heart-opening postures.

• Supporting students in inversions like handstands, forearm stands, and headstands.

• Understanding shoulder mechanics and applying safe, effective adjustments for different body types.

• Adapting assists for common shoulder injuries and movement restrictions.
